Names, Names, and More Names
So this week of writing has gone pretty well. I am having a little bit of trouble with one thing though, names. It seems like everything needs a name. The main character, support characters, locations, ... Everything needs a name. At first it did not bother me, but then I realized I was using names from books, or movies I have seen. I have resorted to using brackets a lot. "He lived in [city name] for 5 years." I will just have to go back and fill those in later.

Brackets are a good idea. You could also put in a name and change it later ... Rowling changed the names of some of her main characters several times before publication. Maybe devote a writing session strictly to name creation? Remember ... this is YOUR baby and you get to make the rules ... and break them, change them, trash them, whatever. :-)
